Erin & Nydia
We were praying walking an apartment complex close to Cornerstone. After hosting sports and Bible clubs at the complex, we met Nydia full of energy and smiles. Nydia, who lived one block away from the park was so excited that she began to invite her friends, and later her “mimi.” We had a mission team of teens from TX and Nydia grew close to one
of the team students. That Friday, we invited the community for a time of fellowship, games and music at church.
Erin, known as ‘mimi’ to Nydia attended that night, and also that Sunday. We began to build a relationship with Erin and Nydia. Erin always wanted to be involved at church. A few months later, we had invited Erin to an evangelism conference. She was excited to learn how to effectively share Christ. While at the conference she said, “I have to have Christ to share Him.” Yes, she was at an evangelism conference and was not yet saved!. I totally agreed!
I had the opportunity to share the Good News with her, and the following day Erin accepted Christ as her Savior.
Erin and Nydia were baptized and are now apart of our church family.
Erin serves on Cornerstone leadership team. Nydia continues to grow in Christ.
